Update on 'Apartment for Rent'

Updated: May 25, 2024

Update on the 'apartment for rent', originally posted on the Facebook Preserve Page last February.

Original post from February:

Photograph of a hole in a tree, with a chewed shelf fungus projecting over the hole like an awning.

For Rent: One-bedroom apartment, perfect for red squirrels or small birds. Wood paneling throughout. Renovations by previous tenant include widening the front door, and artistically sculpting the shelf-fungus awning. Access to Mud Pond and surrounding forest. Blue jay neighbors can be noisy.

Update:

Photograph of the same tree hole as previously, but the hole has been enlarged and the shelf fungus is gone.

Apartment is currently being renovated. fungus awning has been removed, and the entrance has been widened slightly.

No sightings of the tenant. Apparently, they appreciate privacy.
